Laura Frazier, Director of Membership & Community Relations
My name is Laura Frazier, and it is an honor and privilege to be a part of the Oxford Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.
I am originally from Collierville, Tennessee. After many years of visiting Northern Mississippi and living in different areas of the country, my family and I are fortunate to now call Mississippi home.
My professional background has always focused on serving the community. My first job was with Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, where I worked for ten years.
During that time, one of my most favored roles was serving as a Patient Advocate in Guest Relations, acting as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, and their families. It was a truly special opportunity to assist families during their most vulnerable moments, primarily within the intensive care units and emergency department. Each day presented unique challenges, and I was dedicated to meeting those needs.
I left my position with the hospital due to my husband’s career change, which led us on an exciting journey. Leaving my hometown of 30 years meant starting over in completely unfamiliar territory. I found myself unaware of where to look for resources to help us settle into our new life.
I’ve often said that if I had known about the Chamber of Commerce in our area, it would have been an invaluable resource for our family. At the time, Google searches were our only option, and they don’t always lead to the quality service one needs.
This personal experience is why this position is so meaningful to me. Now, having the vantage point of being on both sides, I deeply understand the importance of the Oxford Lafayette Chamber of Commerce operating at its fullest potential.
I am thrilled to be a part of this incredible team and I look forward to serving alongside all of you.
