Continuing Education

The University of Mississippi offers a number of non-credit classes, workshops and travel opportunities through their Division of Outreach and Continuing Education.  The classes are open to the entire community and do not require admission to the university.

Lifelong Learners

Seniors, 65 years or older, can enroll in one academic course of up to four credit hours per semester tuition-free. The program provides opportunities such as:

  • Attending classes with university students
  • Meeting and interacting with faculty
  • Taking online courses
  • Participating in special programs and travel excursions

Southern Studies Brown Bag Series

The Southern Studies Brown Bag Series helps community members learn about and experience the richness of the South. The series takes place on campus each Wednesday at noon during the regular academic year. The series explores a variety of topics including cultural events, food, history, and music.
